Story Behind our Art
A Journey of Connection, Calm, and Creativity
When I first started exploring art, I never imagined it would become such an integral part of my life, let alone a journey that I would share with my daughter, Georgie. But here we are—two artists, inspired by nature and united by our love of creating something meaningful. Art, for us, is more than just a skill; it’s a way to bring a piece of the wild into our lives and homes, offering moments of peace, wonder, and a reminder of what truly matters.

Discovering My Why: Bringing Nature Indoors
During the lockdown, I found myself feeling the weight of an uncertain world, trying to navigate the stresses of my corporate role from home. I began taking daily walks through the nearby Manly Dam nature park, and it was during those walks that I found solace. Being surrounded by trees, plants, and the quiet presence of wildlife offered me a much-needed sense of calm. It made me realize how much we lose when we’re constantly immersed in technology and the busyness of modern life. I wanted to bring that peaceful feeling into my home, to create spaces that allow others to pause, breathe, and feel connected to the beauty of nature.
Through art, I found my way to do just that. It became my purpose to bring wildlife and nature indoors, offering people a way to reconnect with the natural world. Each piece I create is designed to offer a moment of tranquility, a way to slow down and appreciate the world around us.

A Shared Vision with Georgie
Art also brought me closer to my daughter, Georgie, in a way I never anticipated. After a tough moment when she didn’t make the soccer team, I introduced her to drawing as a way to express herself. She took to it instantly, and it wasn’t long before we were spending hours together, sketching and creating. What started as a way to console her grew into a shared passion.
Working with Georgie has been incredibly fulfilling. Her artistic eye, unique perspective, and attention to detail bring something special to our work. She adds a sense of authenticity and creativity that makes our pieces even more meaningful. We create each piece together, whether it’s the fun and personality-driven bees of the Cool Bs Series or the nurturing calmness of Baby Paws. Each series is a blend of our ideas and styles, with Georgie contributing her own artistry to bring each creation to life.

Creating Emotional Connections Through Art
The art we create isn’t just about reproducing wildlife; it’s about capturing a feeling. Whether it’s the whimsy and joy of the Cool Bs or the soothing calm of Baby Paws, our work is designed to evoke an emotional connection. We want people to see themselves in our pieces, to feel the warmth and wonder that nature offers, even if they’re miles away from it. For me, each piece is a reminder of that initial feeling of peace I found during my walks, and I hope it can bring that same sense of calm to others.
At the end of the day, it’s this purpose—this shared vision with Georgie—that drives us. Together, we’re creating artwork that speaks to the heart, bringing a bit of the wild indoors and offering a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the beauty of the world around us.
We invite you to join us on this journey, to find a piece that resonates with you, and to bring a touch of nature’s wonder into your own space.
